Preparing for the PMP exam

The Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification is increasingly important as a validation of your knowledge and proficiency in Project Management. This 5-Day course focuses on preparing you to take and successfully pass the Project Management Institute's PMP® Certification Examination. Since first teaching a PMP® preparation course in 1999, Westney has prepared hundreds of students to successfully pass the exam.

You will learn all nine Knowledge Areas of PMI®'s A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, Third Edition (PMBOK® Guide) plus the added performance domain, “Professional and Social Responsibility.” The material will be covered in an interactive fashion with review exercises at the end of each section and homework assignments each night. Course materials also include a 200 question Westney-prepared exam that experience has shown is an excellent benchmark for how well you will perform on the actual exam.

Topics Covered

In 2002, PMI® instituted a requirement that an applicant must have a minimum of 35 contact hours of documented project management education before the applicant can be approved to take the PMP® exam. Our course will fully satisfy this requirement.

Effective September 30, 2005, PMI® revised the eligibility requirements to take the exam and also revised the exam. Previously, a passing score was 68.5% and about 80% of the people passed the exam the first time. The passing score is now 60.5%, but only about 74% of the people are expected to pass the first time. You are responsible for applying to PMI® for PMP® eligibility and then making an appointment to take the exam. More information on PMI®'s PMP® certification program is available at www.pmi.org.

Full Money Back Guarantee
